Salicylic acid only works at pH below 5.0. Most 'salicylic acid face washes' on the market are formulated at pH 6-7 — which means the ingredient is present on the label but functionally inactive. TRUFORM Pro is formulated at pH 4.5-5.0 specifically so the salicylic acid can actually penetrate your pores.
